Thank you to those Las Huacas owners who have already paid their road and security fees! We have received 43 security fees and 51 road fees (this includes residents who contributed $5,000 or more to the Save the Road fund).
Unfortunately, collections this year have been slower than usual, particularly amongst those contributing less or not at all to the Save The Road fund. As such, we have needed to make service trade-offs, and if the trend continues, we will need to make even greater trade-offs. We count on everyone in the community to contribute, at least what they can.

As always, we regularly update our community on the list of owners on the hill who have paid their annual dues. Please see the attached list. The 38 owners who contributed $5,000 or more to the Save the Road fund are noted with an asterisk. Thank you, neighbours!
Current Status on Road Repairs
With the limited funds on hand, we have only completed 2 out of our normal 4 sections of lastre: from route 160 to the guard caseta and F section, plus the asphalt transitions between the new asphalt road and the adjoining lastre branches at a cost of $14,400.
Our road fund currently has a balance of less than $10,000. We will have to wait until we accumulate further funds to complete the additional two lastre sections to the left and right of the “T” junction. As well, we need to install new gutters and culverts or maintain the existing ones. With the new surface, our future annual costs will hopefully decrease.
This Year’s Fee Structure
Bottom hill: (lower E section) Road $300 + Security $1,350 = $1,650
Lower hill: (middle E section) Road $600 + Security $1,350 = $1,950
Middle hill: (F, upper E & up to EE11) Road $900 + Security $1,350 = $2,250
Upper hill: (near and above the T) Road $1,250 + Security $1,350 = $2,600

Payments can be made directly to our Banco de Costa Rica (BCR) account. Please always include your LOT NUMBER, NAME and whether you are paying for ROAD, SECURITY or both.
